How important is it? Some people say it very useful especially when you get older, some people say its bs.

No one says it's bs. It's one of if not the most important step since the suns UV rays literally accelerate aging and damage the skin. Everything else is optional depending on your goal but sunscreen is VITAL. Even some cultures in Africa used to make these buy skin clays to help them from the toxic effects of the sun's UV rays.

If you do decide to get a sunscreen, which you should. make sure it has a pa++++ rating and an spf of 50+

You need to do everything but its a first major step.

A basic skin care routine is sunscreen and wearing it everyday every 4 hours regardless of indoors and outdoors, and if your outdoor every 2 hours regardless of it being cloudy
Then you should apply retinol every other day, and later on tret which is 10x stronger then retinol. You should apply moisturizer before tret and best to start out with the weakest cream to avoid side effects and before any tret use retinol to build up tolerance

Then besides that diet is important. So avoid sugary foods and processed foods and oily foods as they would cause DNA damage. Here is a breakdown of how goyslop can cause accelerated aging

Foods and how they can age you

1. High in Refined Sugars and Carbs ( sugary foods and excessive high carb foods )

  • Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs): When sugars combine with proteins or fats, they form AGEs, which damage collagen and elastin in the skin, leading to wrinkles and loss of elasticity.
  • Blood Sugar Spikes: Frequent consumption of refined carbs can cause insulin resistance, inflammation, and oxidative stress, all of which contribute to faster aging at the cellular level.

2. Pro-Inflammatory Ingredients

  • Many processed foods are high in trans fats, omega-6 fatty acids, and artificial additives. These ingredients promote chronic inflammation, which accelerates the breakdown of skin cells and tissues throughout the body.

3. Lack of Nutrients

  • Processed foods are often stripped of essential vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber. Nutrient deficiencies impair the body's ability to repair and regenerate cells, which can lead to premature aging and dull skin.

4. Impact on Gut Health

  • Processed foods can disrupt the balance of gut bacteria, leading to inflammation and a weakened immune system. A healthy gut is crucial for glowing skin and overall vitality.

5. Oxidative Stress

  • Many processed foods contain preservatives, artificial colors, and high amounts of sodium. These can increase free radical production, causing oxidative stress that damages cells and DNA, contributing to aging.

6. Dehydration from High Sodium Content

  • Excessive salt in processed foods can dehydrate the skin, making it look dull and accentuating fine lines and wrinkles.

7. Impact on Hormonal Balance

  • Additives and artificial chemicals can disrupt hormonal balance, which affects skin health, energy levels, and metabolism, all of which play a role in how youthful you feel and look.
By minimizing processed foods and focusing on a diet rich in whole, nutrient-dense foods (like fruits, vegetables, healthy fats, and lean proteins), you can reduce inflammation, improve skin health, and support a longer, healthier life.

A lot of people miss this step and wonder why they still look biologically older noticeably. Of course you cannot stop looking biologically older no matter what but DIET is underrated.

I would also add collagen supplementation either through powder or a capsule. It would help repair the collagen lost that you proceed and get damaged. As you can see its exponential.

So you would need to gradually increase your supplementation but most collagen supplements give you several times your needed collagen intake so you would be fine.

Habits to avoid aging like milk

1. Stress

Chronic stress can lead to accelerated aging due to the following mechanisms:

  • Telomere Shortening: Stress increases cortisol, which contributes to the shortening of telomeres—the protective caps on the ends of chromosomes. Shortened telomeres are linked to aging and age-related diseases.
  • Inflammation: Prolonged stress causes chronic inflammation, which breaks down collagen and elastin, leading to wrinkles, sagging skin, and dullness.
  • Oxidative Stress: High cortisol levels generate free radicals, damaging cells and tissues, further contributing to aging.

Solution= Zinc and Magnesium supplementation

2. Smoking

Smoking harms nearly every system in the body, particularly skin and lungs:

  • Collagen and Elastin Breakdown: Smoking decreases blood flow and oxygen to the skin, leading to a loss of collagen and elastin. This results in premature wrinkles, sagging, and dull complexion.
  • Free Radical Damage: Cigarette smoke generates free radicals that cause oxidative stress, damaging skin cells and DNA.
  • Dehydration: Smoking reduces skin hydration, making it look dry and aged.
  • "Smoker's Lines": Repeated puckering and other facial expressions related to smoking create fine lines, especially around the mouth and eyes.

Solution= Don't smoke. Use vaping as a alternative if you need to get your fix in

3. Lack of Sleep

Poor sleep habits accelerate both internal and external signs of aging:

  • Decreased Skin Repair: During deep sleep, the body produces growth hormones and melatonin, which repair skin and combat aging. Lack of sleep reduces this repair process.
  • Cortisol Overproduction: Sleep deprivation increases cortisol levels, causing inflammation and breaking down collagen and elastin.
  • Under-Eye Bags and Dull Skin: Poor sleep reduces blood flow to the skin, causing puffiness, dark circles, and a lackluster complexion.

Solution= Take magnesium and zinc 30 minutes prior to bed to sleep well. You can consider 2-3 mg of melatonin to help you sleep as well but be warned that it can make it harder to get up as you feel more sleepy then usual.

4. Alcohol Consumption

Excessive alcohol consumption contributes to aging in several ways:

  • Dehydration: Alcohol dehydrates the body and skin, making wrinkles and fine lines more prominent.
  • Liver Damage: Alcohol impairs liver function, reducing its ability to detoxify the body, which can lead to dull, uneven skin tone.
  • Nutrient Depletion: Alcohol depletes essential vitamins and antioxidants, such as vitamin A, which are critical for skin repair and anti-aging.
  • Inflammation: Alcohol triggers inflammation, contributing to skin redness, puffiness, and premature aging.
  • Broken Capillaries: Excessive drinking can cause visible red veins (telangiectasia) and a blotchy skin tone, especially on the face.

Solution=Don't drink alcohol. Understand that you don't have to get drunk every time you go to the bar and club. You can get into a highly social state by talking with normies and other people prior to going to the bar, and be naturally confident by being jacked, having interesting hobbies, and if your insecure about your face then get the appropriate facial surgeries, otherwise don't let it bother you. Going out with friends also boosts confidence , and adopting the YOLO mindset and fuck it mindset will help you talk with foids and other people confidently without having to drink.

Hope this helps. I know its a lot longer then what you expected but I figured a detailed response was better

Sunscreen is one of the most important steps in any skincare routine. Here’s why:

1. Protection from UV Damage

  • UVB Rays cause sunburn and direct skin damage.
  • UVA Rays penetrate deeper, causing premature aging, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation.
  • Both types of rays can contribute to skin cancer.

2. Prevents Premature Aging

  • Sun exposure is a primary cause of fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity.
  • Daily use of sunscreen helps maintain youthful, healthier skin.

3. Reduces Hyperpigmentation

  • Sunscreen prevents dark spots, uneven skin tone, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation from acne or other skin injuries.

4. Supports Overall Skin Health

  • UV rays can weaken the skin's barrier and contribute to redness, inflammation, and sensitivity.
  • Sunscreen protects your skin from environmental stressors.

5. Works with Other Skincare Products

  • Many active ingredients (e.g., retinoids, AHAs, or BHAs) make your skin more sensitive to the sun. Without sunscreen, their benefits can be reversed.
Key Tips for Using Sunscreen:

  • Choose broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher.
  • Apply it every day, even when indoors (UVA rays can penetrate windows).
  • Reapply every 2 hours if outdoors, especially after sweating or swimming.
Consistent sunscreen use is non-negotiable if you’re serious about protecting and improving your skin!
