FOR FUCKS SAKE, I JUST GOT COVID AND MY SURGERY DATE IS 02.08.2022, JUST 12 DAYS FROM NOW, WILL I HAVE TO POSTPONE OR CANCEL IT????

The bill is also weird, it says 900 eur for 8h anesthesia.
The rundown is this:
Anesthesiologist consultation/anesthesia during = 950EUR
Lower jaw osteosynthesis with a metal plate intraoral approach with a one sided split 2x = 420EUR
Upper jaw osteosynthesis with a metal plate or ligature intraoral apporach 4x = 450UER
lower jaw osteotomy in the chin region = 720EUR
3D planning = 550EUR
Upper jaw osteotomy Lefort type = 1200EUR

So total for upper jaw impaction + genioplasty = around 5,5k
IMO worth it.

Just a rapid personal test because I felt like shit and realized i lost the sense of smell.

Tbh, i am more concerned about my health. If i have respiratory/lung issues recovery post surgery and the surgery itself would be risky.

I should be able to test negative in like 10 days tho which is just in time for the 48h pre surgery covid test.

Last time i got it (2 years ago) it was fine, but this time i really feel it in my lungs tho. During anesthesia respiration could be sketch if my lungs are fucked.

I have to do all of the pre surgery blood/urine/lung/ECG tests now too, but can't do them cause I am sick.

Lets hope I get through this without too much damage.

It's over, bro. Vadim is going to butcher your face.
I was sketched out at first too, but its going to be my 2nd surgery with him so he already knows my bones.

I had SARPE with him and he also knew about MSE, would have gotten mse if my female ortho didn't cuck me because she didn't want to risk it, later when i talked with my surgeon, he also was confused why we didn't do MSE.

He is very blackpilled, my bluepilled ortho wanted to do laser gum treatment/botox, but the surgeon was instantly like "yeah, you need 4mm impaction and about 6mm genioplasty" just by looking at my face and when we did the actual surgical plan, he was spot on.

He has a very good reputation to hold up as he is the lead maxfac as well as a professor and an author of a lot of scientific publications.

Maybe I am just hamstering at this point, but my experience with him untill now has been generaly postive and he seems to really understand what I am trying to get from surgery.

Hopefully it goes well.

I will, you can check my 2 previous posts which go in to more detail about what I am getting and the logic behind it.

Just a computer science student who took a gap year to work and save up for this shit. The uni paper can wait, its not going anywhere, my youth is limited tho, I decided I want to be done with hard surgeries before 24-25.

SARPE results so far only anecdotal, I was gonna get my old ct scans next week, but i have covid now....

Under 24 above 20

Pretty much everyone in baltics is white as snow. Either germanic, nordic or slavic. Idk, probably some mix of nordic germanic balt/celtic genes. AFAIK i am genetically very white, iirc this region has one of the purest aryans, but that's something my aspie friend told me, so i have no clue lmao.

The surgeons here are generally well regarded, I have seen a couple of aesthetic oriented maxfac/orthognatic surgery research papers from doctors in all 3 baltic countries. Another thing is that there are no "superstar" surgeons like Alfaro, raimieri, pagnoni ect, I probably butchered their names, but you get the idea. Pretty much all maxfacs here work in universities and do research which means they get the newest tech with research grants and are cheaper since they don't choose the prices. The problem here is that they won't do surgery unless you actually need it. Thankfully my surgeon is blackpilled.

UPDATE:
Anesthesiologist does not recommend full anesthesia at least a month post covid.
For now the surgery is postponed to end of August.
Tbh, not too bad, I thought I would have to postpone it till next year since the surgeon is really popular/busy.
His next date to book a consultation is next year JFL, but he said since I am doing surgery with him, he will put some time aside for me pre surgery.
