Does anyone know if there are any surgeries for making the lower third more elongated? I feel like I have a short face due to my underdeveloped narrow third and I was wondering if there is anything I can do about it in the future. I was gonna get filler in my lower third to give the illusion when I turn 18, that's what I got recommended by a plastic surgeon and she said it would heavily benefit me.

thought double jaw brings it forward not down. also i heard recovery is fucking brutal
can make the bottom third appear more balanced since recession can appear to be an imbalance in the thirds

genuinely gonna look into it when im 18 most likely
U must have an overbite first tho, other wise its not possible. Unless u do decompensative orthodonitcs.

i don't have one, i did but i had braces for most of my life to fix it. thank god they expanded and brought me forward when i was young instead of making me recessed. i should thank the orthodontist who gave me a palate expander when i was a little kid every day. i heard a downward genioplasty can be promising too

my gonial angle is pretty flat, the thing with jaw impants is that they can look super unnatural which is why i was thinking about filler since it can be dissolved if its fucked

its so good nowadays though plus its only like 5-600 at a good clinic. also no recovery or down time
It’s incapable of significantly lengthening your lower third at all, even if you were to attempt it (which would take at least 5+ ml of filler across the chin and jaw ($2500 ish)) it’d look completely unnatural. Filler can be beneficial sometimes, this is not one if it’s areas of expertise.

A wraparound jaw implant is what should be used to lengthen the lower third.

my surgeon would most likely place it in the gonions. im just so scared of being botched

Wrap arounds are awful and if u tried to use it to vertically lengthen it would warp the skin. Worst possible option. 3 point landing = best way.

The issue is it never leaves ur skin even if u dissolve, u can see it on an MRI. Easy to tell if u look at women who have had it redone over and over, they look swollen and bloated.

there are fillers now that the body naturally absorbs that dont migrate. the filler is made from naturally produced compounds in the body

You can ask for any movements you want in a double jaw surgery and yes recovery is brutal i would recommend titanium implants instead of filler its permanent and doesn't migrate and you can customize the shape and the result way more than filler
