Surgery needed?

I am 17 years old and I have been told that I may have a recessed maxilla. I would like to ask whether surgery would be necessary in my case, or if there are other possible treatment options available.

A bimax would do wonders on you IMO.

yes...its true...you do have a recessed maxilla...in your side profile clearly u can see that your face is flat...i would recommend you to wait for some years(20 or 21)then get a surgery(possibly double jaw surgery)
1.lefort 1 to bring midface upward and forward(ccw)
2.your lower jaw is down grown a bit...bsso to bring your lower jaw forward as well...generally rotating maxilla counter clockwise will make the lower jaw come forward
since the maxilla acts like the fulcrum but still u can get it done...i dont think any genioplasty is needed coz u have a balanced chin and the chin will pop out more if you get a ccw rotation for upper jaw
