I went to an orthodontist and i also got an xray. Ive been missing two premolars since birth and that area of my upper jaw has not developed because of that. Due to this i have a short upper and lower jaw (maxilla and mandible). Doctor said lowk only thing that works is damon braces and bimax. Before i go and believe them tho i wanna see if anyone has any advice/thoughts as to whether i should really get it. Are there any solutions besides surgery and braces? And also no marpe wont work, not in my case. Thank you for your attention and also please only serious answers

bro if the doctor is suggesting bimax, and you have insurance, then you basically get a free step towards ascension✌️

mb forgot to add the if, the bimax would be for functional issues not for looks like all the other 15 year olds wishing their parents would let them get one.

Dont quote me on it, quote my orthodontist. They said its cuz its just gonna make my maxilla look even flatter because it lacks any forward growth and also its not gonna look proportional to the mandible, marpe only widens the maxilla. Tho if you have any knowledge that says otherwise id be glad to hear it. Thanks

For me it would definitely improve my looks, it would fix my flat face and short mandible/maxilla. How would it not? They are both shorter than what they are supposed to be

To answer your previous question MARPE brings the maxilla forward 1-2MM with the device itself, headgear could bring it forward another 1-4MM (it really depends on compliance and patience)

It would widen your upper lip and fill it a bit, maybe not make you look as elongated/horse face

But given your lower jaw it could give you a "balloon face"

If I was in your situation I'd get a MARPE then bimax down the road, if not after

Yeah

, honestly marpe would work IF i could solve lower jaw. Do you have any knowledge on how i could fix a lower jaw smaller than the maxilla?

Well the root is your upper didn't develop enough my nigga :C your lower rlly is limited based on upper

there's a small, unreliable chance, your lower would follow the upper by expanding
