Hey,
I'm not sure if this exists already, but are there websites that have data on the success rate of individual surgeons etc?
MY idea:
- Create a website that, for each clinic and procedure has a duplicate of their database of patient results and then let only .org users vote on how good the surgery was. Then make a ranking sytem, or at least an open dataset of how good individual doctors/clinics are for certain procedures so that you'd have a reliable source of data when deciding which surgeon to pick.
The issue: I dont really think clinics post botched surgeries or maybe they even omit surgeries they think don't look good enough. To counter this major flaw, we could create a system where documented botched cases could be added (some fag posting about it on reddit, user X from .org reaches out, gets docs and other verification stuff from him and then submits it to our rating site, where it'd then be added to the stats/data).
This could be a pretty nice tool for .org users who are looking to get surgery and should help give people realistic expectations in regards to improvement as well, since the surgery ratings would include how much the patient's PSL has changed (ΔPSL)
