At one point, John's familly leave him because he goes back to his outlaw life. Some weeks later he builds a house and try to live as a honest rancher. His familly came back but with a dog this time. John jokingly says "Who is my new rival?"

I stopped paying rdr2 as soon as I had to play as John marston, it took me out of the immersion seeing John marston protect his family and shit without the wife whoring or disobeying even once.
