obviously not the whole genre but most of MN84s music is nostalgic as fuck which makes it depressing in a way. Same thing with many other songs, you're probs thinking of the energetic videogame type synthwave tracks

i can understand if you see it as that way. but then again then even aggressive music can be depressing in the sense it instills a sense of nostalgia if i end up listening to it over a decade later (which is something i could probably experience, i have post-hardcore albums i listened to back in 2007 and 2008) ill go post a few synthwave songs so you know which ones ive listened to

ok chad, probably true tho. I'd never show this music to an NT lol, I did once introduce it to an old friend who really liked it and legit started listening to the genre but yeah 99% of people will think you're a weirdo for listening to this shit but idc it's good music
