Tl;Dr at the bottom.
I was scrolling on youtube doing research on the AT-XC Rifle for fun
And this video came up on my recommended
Translation: SVD Scope Training on the Dragunov Scope
SVD Rifle in question.
It's an ARMA II: DayZ video game tutorial on how to use the SVD Rifle, a Soviet-Era rifle that is still in used today by many land forces and Insurgent Groups such as ISIS and the Taliban
Except, the Video has all remnants that it's a video game tutorial removed (apart from visual indicators), It has Arabic annotations added, and It's posted by a Pro Syrian Revolution YT channel.
I thought, maybe this Pro-Syrian Revolution YT channel just likes DayZ, and decided to help his fellow Arab players learn how to use the SVD's scope, that was until I found the original YT video and found this comment.
The ARMA Trilogy is very well known for having extremely realistic gun physics, with many fake videos of the Ukraine/Russia war not being AI, But straight from ARMA-3, Because the way the weapons work in the game is so realistic, and in fact, has fooled many respectable News organizations and even Military men themselves.
Which means that a Pro-Syrian Revolutionist saw this ARMA II tutorial video, and probably from experience realized how good the video would be to teach fellow revolutionaries how to use the SVD's scope in combat.
Imagine getting Kirk'd by someone who learnt how to use his scope from an FPS video game tutorial

Proof that the SVD rifle got used by Syrian Rebels
Picture of the PSO-1, the Scope most commonly used with the SVD, to show that it looks extremely similar to the video's scope.
Tl;Dr: Syrian Insurgents used a Tutorial made for the ARMA II game to learn how to use the SVD Dragunov Rifle's scope because of how realistic the guns work in the game, which probably resulted in many succesful kills.
