Syrians are genetically closer to Greek Peloponnese, Ashkenazim, Greek Islanders and Southern Italians than to Saudis.

This shows that the "Arab" status of Syrians is mainly due to cultural factors. It did not mean that Syrians (or Lebanese) absorbed a large amount of Arabian Peninsula ancestry. Groups like Greek Islanders, Peloponnese, Southern Italians and Ashkenazi Jews are genetically closer. This fact debunks:

Extreme Palestinian supporters: Who believe Ashkenazi Jews are "Eastern European converts". The European component Ashkenazi Jews is OVERWHELMINGLY Southern European alongside a substantial Levantine ancestry.

White supremacists: Because certain European subgroups have strong affinities with "non-Europeans" debunking the absolute lie that "Europeans are homogenous between themselves but distinct from all others".

Arab supremacists: Who believe that all "Arabs" share a common ancestry. They don't.

all you do is justifying European expansionism in the Middle East

I have nothing against that tho, if they converted to Christianity/became secular I'd maybe consider them white European

All YOU'RE doing is failing to understand basic genetic relationships. There's no major genetic barrier between "Europeans" and "West Asians" ESPECIALLY between Southeast Europeans and Levantines.

Since Southeast Europeans are closer West Asians than West Asians are to Arabians, by THAT stance and by your "logic", aren't YOU justifying "Arabian expansionism" into West Asia?

If you want a debate with me, learn the basic genetic history of Western Eurasia. Then I'll consider a debate with you.

it's all about culture and religion, aspie

Levantines are predominantly Arab

Doesn’t matter Syria has been inhabited by Arabs a thousand years before Islam even existed

They were absorbed into the Canaanite/Aramean gene pool and thus did not shift Syrians to the Arabian Peninsula.

Levantines were influenced by Greeks and vice versa. The alphabet we're using derives from Greek, but THAT alphabet derives from Phoenician. Also, prior to Islam, most Levantines were Eastern Christians. The Levant was probably the CORE of the Hellenic world.

As I've mentioned before, ancient Greeks were EVEN CLOSER to Levantines than they are now. What shifted Greeks away from the Middle East was Slavic genetic input substantially increasing Eastern/Northern European ancestry.

nah, it's Islam that separated Levantines from Greeks
