I’m aware of natural fluctuations in testosterone levels but the change I’m experiencing seems rather unusual and I’m wondering if there might be an underlying issue.

About 1.5 years ago, I was tested at 10 AM and my total testosterone levels were 869 ng/dL.
A similar test 3 years ago at around the same time showed 854 ng/dL.
This was despite being sleep-deprived at the time, being less aware of my nutrition, less physically active and not taking any supplements that potentially contribute to ideal testosterone levels.
I did, however, maintain an ideal weight.

Recently I was tested again but this time in the afternoon at 3 PM and my levels were 498 ng/dL.
This is a decrease of over 40%, which seems unusual.
Based on this result, I wouldn’t expect my morning levels to be anywhere near as high as they used to be.
I will definitely test them again soon.

There are also a few differences to consider:

1) I’m currently on antidepressants (Wellbutrin and doxepin for sleep disturbances).

2) I now take supplements including vitamin D3, K2, magnesium, zinc, omega-3 and ashwagandha, all in sufficient doses.

3) I weigh about 5kgs more now but I am still relatively lean at around 16-17% body fat with a fairly muscular physique.

Does this level of decline (from morning to afternoon) seem typical, or could it suggest a deeper issue?
