Took 15 mg last night and it worked like charm but made my face very red. Is this common and can it be prevented?

The affect is common and there isn't really a way to guarantee prevention. The affect is only temporary anyway. However, you can manage it better and lessen the effect. Lowering the dose of course will lessen the affect but I understand that's probably not something you want to do. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking liquids to increase the blood flow and cause the duration of the affect to decrease.
