Maybe this is obvious, but anyway.

If your phone's camera is fast and you have enough battery, take a lot of selfies. My best Tinder pictures are random selfies that I snapped without planning. Some of them are going to be good if you take enough of pics.

Try different angles etc, don't even think about it, just do it. Obviously, you have to be at least OK looking (like 5/10 or better).

Of course, if you already have good enough pics, then you don't have to bother.
