I'd studied hundreds of those situations and recognized a few common denominators; drug addiction, alcoholism, and victimhood (thus wanting sympathy.) Only a few ever faced the music with conviction. That guy that got caught several times, Mr. Oops. He was persistent.

These people don't understand why they seek children to have sex with. Or they refuse to understand. Or they don't give a shit hence arrogant pampered fucks. They seek children because they lack confidence in their own age group. They fear rejection and debate. A woman you're wanting to fuck challenges you intellectually ... ouch. That can do some damage to a man's ego. But guys like me get off on such ego abuse. Sometimes, I push the woman in conversation to degrade me. Ah, yes, gratifying. For example,

"I think you need to shut the fuck up and get in the kitchen and cook my food." I might say to stimulate abuse.

And so she might react, "How bout you cook your own food, asshole!"
