Water title but many of you think you know it all. For low-attention readers, I'll conclude this in a few points.

1. You take accutane, the purge starts,
2. Now your acne is worse than it ever was, but you try to thug it out
3. The large size of inflammation and nodules leaves you with deeper permanent scarring than you would have
4. You have second thoughts about dosage, if the pill is working or not etc, you make a bad decision

To lessen the purge many doctors might prescribe you anti-bitoics or steroid topicals so you don't end up as with permanent scarring. Lasers do reduce it but you won't be 100% scar free until years of laser.

So please stop being poorfags, go see a dermat

Also low dose or not, you should get liver function and cholesterol levels checked. If your liver was already taking a beating from you shit diet, accutane will fuck you up even more.

absolutely. accutane will cause severe vitaminosis and will also fuckin triple ur triglycerides. accutane should be the last step, even low dosage (0.25-0.5mg/kg)

pain of being on low dosage is meeting ur cumulative dose which is around 120mg/kg so u might be on accutane for around a year or more depending on ur bw. what other treatments have you tried prior to going on accutane?

Yeah I don't mind and my dermat vaguely told me this would last very long. I'm fine by it as long as I clear up 90% in 6 months. I'm only on day 5 now.

I tried, benyol peroxide + clindamycin + oral lymefine anti biotic; this kept my acne under my skins surface, so I would have no inflammation but you could see the acne pigmentation on my skin. Did this for 2 years, until I tried tretinoin for 3 months and it didn't work. I hopped on Accutane after that just now.

I'm 20 btw so didn't wanna wait anymore, my dermat wanted to do this from day 1 after testing etc but i had to go to college in another city

thats a hefty ton of antibiotics. the fact that your derm suggested to use both clindamycin with benzoyl peroxide is a sign hes good. ive seen a few derms forget to do that and patients ended up with antibiotic resistance.
wish you the best on your accutane journey. benzoyl peroxide would usually do more than just decrease presence of bacteria it also has a mild comedolytic effect that can increase skin cell turnover rate.

Yeah he put me on Clindamycin in AM, then another topical that had Clindamycin+Benzoyl Peroxide blend in PM and Benz P did wonders for my breakouts. Over the last 30 days I was on Lymefine daily to prepare for accutane, then 2 weeks before my first accutane day, he made me do 2 courses of Azithromycin 500mg.

Thanks fam, hopefully it clears me up for good. Did you do accutane before?

You had a very strong routine ICL. I also did the classic tetracyclines and clindamycin phase, as well as using trifarotene and nadifloxacin topically. I was on 20mg of accutane but it worsened my MDD and gave me GI issues, also tons of nosebleeds.

Shit helped me so much, theres nothing better than going from the sensation that you can literally fry foods just from the sebum of your nose, to normal skin. But I now on on adapelene 0.1% + benzoyl peroxide 2.5% (epiduo) as well as 0.025 tretinoin as an interesting form of combination therapy that I am unsure of. also was recommended to use clindamycin in the morning.

I miss accutane though, the topical products are simply a phase to see if it works out, then I might go back.

im at my derm rn waiting in the waiting room.
after 2 month of low dose accutane prescribed by him(36mg per week) my acne improved but still not completely gone but alot better than before.
im predicting that hes gonna up my dose and maybe add some topical stuff (tret, adapalene or benzoyl+some topical antibiotics).
just venting while waiting, its been 45min, last time i waited 1hr and a half.

placebo. that small of a dose would not intoxicate a child

You're right OP as a teen I got it prescribed by my GP instead of a derm because of waiting times. It saved me but I got kinda bad scarring during the purge I probably would not have had otherwise

your acne did not improve with that dose assuming you’re not like 5 feet

i already took a full course 4 years ago.

it doesnt matter if it’s low or high dose, what rlly matters is the cumulative dose and no chance in the world you’re gonna reach it like that

i already reached the cumulative dose 4 years ago (40mg for 2 months , 60mg for 5months)

how are you supposed to reach it again then
i dont wanna reach it again, my severe acne is gone. i still have mild acne which low dose accutane is very effective at fixing without having to reach the full dose and having the side effects u get with high doses.

Saw this happen on tiktok, bitch started looking like resident evil, apparently steroids for skin sucks, any toughts?

La roche? Arent brands like those scammers? Id rather buy chemical directly and measure potency, like lab specific ones instead of loreal with their retard secret formula or whatever

I think these are weak, which is fine beginners, but definetely switch it up later, and also retinoids in lebanon? Isnt it scorching sun, you should overdose on spf

A derma said retinols before 25 is waste of collagen

I bought underground, and will self dose till 120mg-150mg per kg. Lots of fear mongering tbh, kinda like surgery its the only way to ascend

Yeah they charge a fuck ton and put u on gay antibiotics that dont work for a year, it would be a waste of time when u can buy underground directly

Nah bro use anti biotics pre-accutane it made me avoid the purge

its not placebo there have been dozens of studies proving the efficacy of low dosage isotretinoin treatment.

Dont take accurane jfl

no amount of antibiotics is going to prevent the retinization period
Acne is a result of bacteria breeding on sebum, you can avoid it with anti bitoics. retinization period comes with acne because there’s no way to avoid bacteria from skin except for using anti bitoics
