Uhhh, no, there aren't if you're ugly/short/ethnic/etc., I was a happy, sociable, extroverted kid until the last year of middle school, when almost all the other guys grew tall, robust, their voices deepened, their faces became more masculine, while I remained short, scrawny and with a squeaky voice and from that moment it was over for me - I started to get ignored, be treated coldly, not invited to hang out or go out with them, etc., even if a year before we were best buddies.
