taking zopiclone long-term?

my sleep has always been shit and i've been taking zopiclone to assist with it and it's helped tremendously, however i am wondering if anyone here has used zopiclone long-term and if so have you noticed any side effects because of it? i don't wanna fuck myself up

well of course it will help tremendously it's a sleeping pill

the side effect is dependence. there are other more basic solutions but i guess if your sleep is that fucked that you need these drugs then u might need to experiment with stuff that wont make u dependent

Yeah i had to taper of but it wasnt horrible since i didnt use it eveyr day only a few days a week

im assuming you're drinking it with water? i drink it with grapefruit juice bc it inhibits the CYP3A4 enzyme in your gut, which breaks down zopiclone, so you get basically an increased dose without needing to take more and i don't get the metallic taste in my mouth. don't drink too much of the juice tho dilute it with water otherwise you'll be hella groggy the next day
