Yeah I just did a little bit of reading on the case and it's extremely fucked up how bad this is. Not only did this guy avoid marriage AND cohabitation to prevent any sort of common-law mishaps, the feminist judge still somehow ruled there was cohabitation even though they only lived in a cottage for like 1 or 2 months during breaks which is CERTAINLY not enough to justify a cohabitation. Not only that, he wanted her to sign a pre-nup but she refused so he didn't go forward with a marriage, and he also covered her debts gave money to her kids and provided for her but somehow she deserves 50k in alimony per month ? How does that even make sense? This is a dangerous precedent because now you can be on the hook even if you don't live together and make it clear you are not married what the actual fuck.
