Tan or tretinoin?

As I have understood it it is very hard to get tan on tretinoin as you have to use SPF every day. Is that true or can you get tan easy? And if not is being pale with good skin quality or tan with mid skin preferable?

tanning is more difficult but still possible
also depends on your colouring if pale or tan is better but skin quality is very important

sometimes youd look like a ghost like if you had blonde hair for example, youd look like you got castrated

im not an expert but some tan gels/creams have spf in them so you could use those then reapply normal spf after washing off tan cream/gel
