Japanese pharma company Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma have been developing an MC1R agonist drug called Dersimelagon (MT-7117). It activates MC1R which as a result stimulates the production of Eumelanin (Brown Pigment). MT-7117 is a new non-peptide with a half-life of 96 hours that has a high affinity for primary MC1R with almost full safety approval.
