Title:

Watching this anime and dudes HTN living like a Sub 5 doesn’t even seem that ND.

Living as a NEET and a Hikikomori.

The anime would be displeasing if they showed what Someone like this would actually look like.

Dude is above average height and average looking, his fault he doesn’t get pussy. Hitomi literally threw himself at the dude and he still didn’t do shit

I like the early/mid 2000s aesthetic, and i love the osts. But the biggest problem i've always had with the anime is that it focuses way too much on him being a neet instead of what caused it. He was fairly normal at school, maybe a bit introverted in his later years, and there was even a girl who i think liked him. I don't really remember tho

Then after he went to college, he suddenly had a panic attack and dropped out. There's no explanation for why it happened, no buildup, no nothing

Him being good looking is the least of my concerns

If you want a good coming of age, depressing story where you follow the main character from childhood into his 20s and watch him slowly spiral downward because of past trauma, just read Goodnight Punpun (greatest manga of all time imo) or No Longer Human by Osamu Dazai (read the actual book tho)

I agree; there are clips of him getting ”laughed at,” but we have no clue why it almost seems like he's making this up in his head at the time.

The clip of him getting beaten up because he was sticking up for the younger classmate is very unrealistic because why would he do this if he was really ND?

His backstory lacks depth, though I still enjoy the anime.

Good night punpun was a great read and honestly more relatable than NHK despite my love for it, the end in particular just hit me and left me numb for a bit

I mean in defense of it, at times this sort of random sudden change can happen, you enter a new stage of life and then suddenly a slight set back hits you and then you retreat, but yeah it should of been explored far more
