for example being indecisive about the design because its going to be with you for the rest of your life. its a valid concern but you still would like to have a tattoo

i see many tattoo owners being extremyl defensive like "if youre that indecisive maybe getting a tattoo isnt for you" , i think they partially do this to cope because they probably changed their mind about some of their tattoos or dont like them as much as in the past

Tattoo people will literally recruit and laugh at others if they are indecisive and show doubts about future. Just like junkies do if someone is afraid to try out something. The more of your body you cover and the more shocking and looks-altering your tattoos are the more respect you have from that crowd, just like with all other risk-taking behaviours
While normal people simply look at that with contempt and disgust

I was in jail once but wasn't guilty ... which was weird because 99% of the other inmates weren't guilty either. But this one guy kept announcing his guilt every hour as he paced in circles in the dining area. "I'm guilty!" The only thing he said every day. Odd feller.

The majority of the inmates had tats. Only this evangelist and I didn't. There wasn't much I learned about his story but he was supposed to be a well-known TV preacher guy or whatever they call themselves. But something odd happened one evening. I was reading a novel called The Passage and kept looking at him trying to figure out why he was there. I continued reading and came across a name of a boat the story introduced, Angel Gabriel. I looked back at him and something told me to say, in my thoughts, "Look at me." The guy turned directly at me and stared for a moment. It was the only time he looked at me while I was there for a little over a month.

That point was defining and explained why I was there as an innocent person that took the law into my own hands. It later led to changing a few things about myself.

Many odd things happened that month. And because of those things, led me to change something about myself. And that sent me back to a place filled with demons. It was there I battled the inner ones and triumphed. I was public enemy number one. Bullets flew passed my door as I was watching The Leftovers. And that incident I foresaw in a dream years prior. A hostage situation unfolded in front of my door. My neighbor was taken hostage after the gunman shot and killed someone downstairs that I thought was a shopping basket falling down the concrete stairs in the fire exit. Police gathered on the side of my door as I watched the drama through my peephole. They negotiated with the gunman and got him to release the hostage.

After that incident, for the next several months, I did the unthinkable - the impossible! Yet in the end, there was no parade - no celebration - no awards given. My trophy was an extended stay on Earth.
