I've heard that Tazarotene is far better than Tretinoin, but I don't know why?

Do they both do the same thing? Which is better?

Thanks.

taz is stronger and what the end all be all for retinoids should be (1 under before iso)

Tretinoin, though, is good overall and imo 0.1 is enough for most, but big gains come from Taz 0.1.

I'd go tret 0.25, then 0.5, then 0.1, and so on with Taz. Yk what I mean

tazarotene is way better than tretinoin overall. stronger receptor binding, better penetration, and noticeably faster results, especially for your acne and skin texture. the tradeoff is irritation. tazarotene is way harsher. more dryness, peeling, redness, and that tight burning feeling if you overdo it. tretinoin is weaker but more forgiving.

I think i'll start with tret and work my way to 0.1%, then move to taz.

Taz is high risk when it comes to dryness and tret is the best all-rounder
After completing tret for 6 months then go for Taz
