I can explain, but not in the way you think.

Let's assume:
PSL =/= SMV

DiCaprio has infinitely higher SMV purely from status from being in the movies. Before you make the argument about switching their positions and having Barrett cast in Titanic instead, etc., you got to remember that Barrett is a pretty weird guy and has been known to act EXTREMELY non-NT. He has zero talent for acting. DiCaprio is a competent actor and very charismatic and NT. Despite looking more of a twink than Barrett he has healthier instincts seeing that he has never publicly gotten married to a gay man and doesn't post extremely non-NT clips of him sticking out his tongue like he was trying to imitate the alien from the movie with the same name, and avoids things of that nature in general. Put them both in similar position with no advantage over the other and you will understand that if you take everything into account - looks, personality, talent, NT - DiCaprio has higher chance to reach a better SMV rating than Barrett. Barrett is capped at being a model, while DiCaprio became a super star actor. People remember actors decades after, but hardly ever bring up models from the past unless they're women. Yes, you can make the argument that Barrett is more beautiful, etc., but when you ask who mogs who this is my answer. Looks are one part of the equation of SMV, the rest heavily depend on other things. Talent, NT, personal drive, etc. all multiply looks. If Barrett's potential from looks itself could be quantified to a number, let's say 5, and DiCaprio to 3, DiCaprio equation would still give him a bigger number because the way that 3 is multiplied.

Simpler argument - anyone with a brain can see why DiCaprio looks will inherently appeal to more girls than Barrett, but that discussion has been around ad nauseum in this forum before.

That's a terrible example because Cera is ugly and you completely missed the point. DiCaprio is extremely attractive and a talented actor. Plus he was typecast for pretty boy roles and till this day he is synonymous with that archetype. My point is that even if Barrett is more attractive in an abstract PSL way, DiCaprio will always have higher SMV (thus mog him) because his talent multiplies his looks far more than Barrett's looks could elevate him on their own. A famous, attractive actor will ALWAYS mog a model even if that model has higher PSL.

To understand DiCaprio's SMV I want you to imagine any attractive woman you know. Literally any. As long as she was born in the last forty or thirty years there is an extremely high chance she has been attracted to DiCaprio and wanted to fuck him at some point. Hundreds of millions of attractive women have wanted to have sex with DiCaprio at some point in their lives. You're trying to tell me Barrett 'mogs' him because he got a higher rating in a PSL autist rating scale? Barrett could never attain this level of status, not even with his looks.
