Tech market is dead apparently.

Do you mean the same market that my friend is raking in 350k in

The same market @Glorious King who came to me for advice of entering in October of 2025

1000190819

And now works at Nvidia

1000190820

The same dead market with dead people sending me unsolicited messages like this in my inbox?

1000190822

The same dead market that is the back bone of US, by far generates the most revenue and carrying the world economy on its back

1000190832
1000190830

Is this the same market that made some of the youngest billionaires in the world?

If so, then I'm not sure about which dead market you are talking about @optimisticzoomer

tech market is one of if not the largest markets currently, especially with aiโ€™s development over the past 5 years and more electric and hybrid cars being pumped into the car scene

honestly I don't see how tech will ever die

maybe AI will somewhat help in building it, but tech will never be replaced

as long as people can improvise (and there is a lot of tech left for the future even past AI, any kind of space tech in the future like mining and living, any energy system, which energy tech will definitely in thr future take off w/ fusion and thorium fission reactors eventually, among other stuff)

the tech market has a bright future, at least far more then any other job, i really believe tech will be the last industry to die out and be replaced by AI (and that will be in the far future, even with AIs rapid growth)

sam altman is the most recent example of a truely large company rising from nowhere (openAI)

look in any opening field like energy and space and who owns those companies

maybe you are right when it comes to programming etc, but certainly not in any recent startup technologies

Very good field to get into. Previously used to be gatekept for people with experience but these days you can find internships for it too. Initially the pay is meh but after a few years it's insane.

When people say "tech is dead," they are looking at the hiring of low level and now redundant due to AI junior web developers. I never said tech is not competitive or it is not brutal at the entry level but when you look at macroeconomics, tech is the only thing keeping the lights on the only sector that has double digit growth. The only sector with the cash, the growth, and the infrastructure to prevent stagnation.

Dm me and i can help you out. You have grind a lot tho. In tech degrees are not mandatory but it still helps massively to have a CS degree from a tier 1 University. People get hired without degrees also it is just lot harder

Won't die but it opened up to a much bigger audience, is there such a thing as an impressive project nowadays because if you show it off someone can always reverse engineer it with something like claude + orchestrator if they had the money, as time progresses the cheaper and more available this opportunity becomes. When claude code got leaked you could basically rebuild the entire thing in your own design if you had the credits too, so getting a job at an entry level with no experience can be a lottery since everyone probably has incredible projects now

i think most scientists would agree with you (they have a term for this, the singularity), but i disagree

i think entirely opposed to expectations, having one piece of tech like AI be able to solve everything counters expectations, it will face significant hurdles

the tech will slow down eventually, it will keep growing but it will slow

you dont think there will be some major accident that makes people dislike tech? i remember there was a space accident and almost all progress in space was slowed (infact, it is possible a staged event could happen by someone who doesn't like AI to create really negative opinions about safety)

It's just a matter of time until we reach AGI, it'll change everything. I truly believe it'll be like the next industrial revolution. Though, will take a lot more time than these tech CEOs claim (they have to hype up their products).

People always underestimate new technology. Same with the invention of the car, the internet and many more.
