It's all true, and it's a huge part of why there are so many "manchildren" today. They don't want to admit that its over. They want to think that it's still possible to experience young love. They feel like if they grow up then whatever small chance they have of still experiencing it will end. They know that nothing that happens later in life matters. They know that anyone who says they like them in their 30s really just wants their money or a janitor to clean up their life for them. It's only when a girl has nothing else to worry about in life that you can know for sure that she loves you and not what you can do for her.
Teenage love is the only real love because it's the only time a girl has no other worries in life. A teenage girl will never pretend to love someone. If she doesn't like you then you are gross and if she does like you her life revolves around you. Once women have bills to pay they will pretend to love you to pay the bills. Once women have made enemies they will pretend to love you for protection. Sure, you love can be awkward, but overcoming that awkwardness together is a huge part of bonding. A woman who has overcome her awkwardness with Chad while you overcame your awkwardness through years of loneliness and introspection and self-improvement isn't growing alongside you. She has nothing in common with you. She may as well be a different species.
