How should I rest my teeth molars together or incisors together?

If I keep my incisors together could this help fix it?

From what I understood from my ortho, push your lower jaw as far back as possible and make contact with molars. Jutting your jaw forward and chewing with incisors instead of molars will just fuck your bite up.

You will be creating an artificial underbite, sure not as bad as real underbites, but your molars need to be in contact for a correct bite.

Look at the picture, if you jut your jaw forward, your molars will be halfway or even more forward than your lower jaws molars.
