What's the best way to teeth whiten to not damage my teeth? Should i just go to the dentist and let them do whatever they want with my mouth or maybe get a teeth whitening kit from amazon when i can insert it in my mouth and have the blue light lighten my teeth?

I am well aware that a darker skin gives impression of whiter teeth. I myself have quite pale skin so yellow teeth stand out a lot more.
