I’m a frequent roid user but let’s be real there’s more to it than that.

First, it’s psychologically addictive. It’s hard to stay motivated in the gym when you’re off cycle knowing that you’re only making 10% of the gains you’d make in the same session on cycle.

Less so much with test-only cycles, but with orals, you never know what you’re getting. Do you really think those poorly pressed pills you got online are 100% high-grade sdrol / tbol etc? Most of the oral steroids were discontinued in pharmaceutical production so real product is incredibly rare. Vendors package cheaper, more available substances as high demand orals like tbol.

If you’re lucky, it’ll only be dbol; a very simple compound to manufacture in a UGL. If you’re unlucky, it might be something like desoxymethyltestosterone which has the potential to really fuck you up.

Poorly managed cycles, cycles with excessive test and cycles that include hepatotoxic substances cut chunks off of your life. After running 5 cycles myself, two of them very heavy, I’ve had to accept the fact that I’ll be dead by 60 if I’m lucky, or 40 if unlucky..
