Temple fat grafting needed for infra grafting balance?

Recently had a consult for undereye fat grafting (the same clinic everyone goes to now). I showed a bunch of before/after photos of my facial volume loss and some ideal undereye/infra regions as targets.

However, the surgeon strongly suggested that I should do temple fat grafting as well, describing it as being required for balance. I'm really not sure about this as no one seems to talk about temple fat grafting on .org, especially in the context of it being done alongside infra fat grafting.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Should I just ride with the surgeon's recommendation to add temple grafting as they see fit or am I potentially setting myself up for a botch?

I've seen a few guys get that done. @SpectrumAesthetics3 you got it right?

@SpectrumAesthetics3 how did know that it was a good idea to get temple grafting? Is it a good idea to trust the Thai clinic's judgement call on this?

well, if u think ur a good candidate then go for it, i personally got it and rubbed my temples during the reocvery to kill off the fat bc it looked bad and i know 1 other person who had the same experience.

shhit, aqualyx might the save here big dog ... def look into it (also keep in mind, it might end up looking much better post-recovery, as I heard most of the fat there doesn't survive anyway, give it the due time). Did the Thai clinic suggest that you needed temple grafting or did you ask for it yourself?

He suggests it to almost everybody, I'd say don't do it and thats that. Only go for eyes, infras and lips.

hmm, yeah, I'm confused ... why does it seem to be so encouraged during the consult, yet everyone ends up hating it? Do you know the ml amount that everyone is getting on each side?

No I meant I got the fat graft not the temples

The eyes are the only spot that needs it. Your temples dont

Plus there’s enough inflammation to deal with around the eyes anyway, no need to strain them

Gotcha, did you ask for an overcorrect in the undereye-infra-area, as in the extra 30% added overcorrection they mention on the OG fat grafting thread?

Yeah 100%

Overfill as much as possible 😂😂

@async @tylerlooks22 @IDontBlameAnybody , how was surgery day for you guys? Were y'all able to give additional input and/or show pics during the marking phase before the surgery?? I told them that I was ok with filling the temples during the video consult, so I'm kinda worried that it might be too late to stop them

Ofc u can stop them. It’s not like they remember anyways, you have the real consult before; I talked for like 30 min showed pics described what I wanted and they draw everything on your face then you go in

Seems like you had a better routine than i had. In my case the doctor seemed stressed out and ran away as soon as i started asking questions. Next time i saw him i already was affected by the medicin on the operating table. Didnt get filled where i wanted and he filled a lot where i told less.
