Terrible news I received today

So I went to a specialist to overview my jaw and it’s so fucked everything is destroyed according to him, I have a vaulted narrow pallete, I have a reccesed mandible and maxxila, I have a class 2 bite with a 6mm overbite skeletal Thats without decomp my entire bite is out of wack still he was doing the molds and placing my jaw where’s it’s supposed to bite down and it retruded further to the point of not being able to breath im tired I can’t breath and my tmj is just another bonus.

Im getting ct scans and mri soon maybe I can approved for some sort of surgery

people overlook the health effects this has. i would start learning myofunctional exercises and get tongue & lip ties cut before any orthognathic surgery. 6mm overbite sounds like major lip incompetence. audrey yoon has some good exercises on yt

from the looks of it, your imw seems decent. even if the sides of your tongue don't fit in perfectly, you should be able to use just the midline of he tongue to support the airway. getting your lip tie released helps maintain a lip seal, which allows the palate to push down on the tongue more. lip ties are connected to the papilla, so getting that cut can allow teeth to shift. this alone may help to correct your overbite without orthodontics, although for 6mm overbite you should really consider self-ligating braces. salludon corrected his overbite with lip seal

tongue tie release can fix jaw lateralization and reduce tmjd symptoms. also consider the myofunctional exercises, retrain your tongue to rest a few mm behind front teeth so the overbite doesn't become worse. this will make a significant difference in your health without orthognathic surgery. try this first, then look into invasive surgeries.
