dutasteride and finasteride takes a long time to work, ideally you shouldve taken it 6-12 months before you start test

No if you even have the slightest of doubt that you're in puberty then do not take it, since your prone to hair loss i would recommend adding dutasteride, minoxidil and ru. Either way taking test at that age is retarded

Men continue to masculinise well into their 20s, the bones in your jaw aren't usually done growing until atleast 18 and clavicles often don't stop growing until 25. Look at guys like Gandy at 18 vs in his mid 20s.

Pretty hard to tell based on those pics alone but that does look like norwooding to me. It's up to you if you think the trade off is worth it, taking fin won't make your dick fall off but it will prevent you from reaching your full potential in terms of masculinisation.

Finasteride and dutasteride both block dht, you can try minoxidil but it doesn't prevent hair loss it just grows back some hairs in the area applied and the hairs will fall out if you stop using it.

There is an experimental chemical called RU58841 that you apply to the scalp and it is supposed to occupy the receptors in the hair follicles so that DHT can't make the hair fall out, some guys claim it works for them but it is early stages and could have plenty of unknown and serious side effects + it is hard to source.

Down the line you could definitely get a hair transplant so if you start receding further before 18-21 it would be salvageable, after that you can hop on fin. Taking fin now wouldn't completely stunt your growth but it would take away a bit of potential, body/facial hair growth would take a hit also. Nobody is gonna prescribe it either so you would have to get it from black market which has risks.

It's up to you if you're willing to leave some growth/masculinisation on the table to prevent any further hair loss. Even 18 is pretty early though, you can always discuss it with a doctor and see what they suggest.
