Testosterone won't change you as much as you think. Everyone assumes a shy person has low testosterone, but even if their testosterone levels rise, their shyness and social anxiety won’t go away.
The solution isn’t in hormones it’s about gaining experience and practicing social skills.
Personality is multi layered: genetics, childhood experiences, environment, family, and culture all play a major role. Two people with the same testosterone level can behave very differently one may be outgoing, the other introverted.
A child raised in a supportive and nurturing family can develop social skills even if naturally shy, while a child from a strict and critical environment may remain withdrawn and reserved.
These factors shape your personality; it isn’t determined by a single hormone. No matter your testosterone level, your core character traits won’t change

water, test is another hormone. If one is missing then it will have effects, if one is too high vice versa.

Different for everyone. Testosterone will change energy levels which can change some peoples personality’s. When I have lots of energy, I’m basically a different person.

True, energy levels can definitely affect how we feel and act in the short term. But that’s more about temporary mood and motivation rather than deep personality traits. Someone can feel more energetic with higher testosterone, but core traits like shyness or introversion usually don’t disappear just because of hormones

I suppose it somewhat correlates though; a man with high t is more likely to be attractive as they will develop properly and reach their genetic potential, and will then get the social proof in order to be confident.

That said, if you manage to raise your testosterone it won’t directly make you more confident

Weren’t there studies proving that test makes people more risky?

Also, roid rage is a real term to describe aggression caused by exogenous hormones

And finally, yeah, no deal same test levels result in different outcomes. 700 ng/dl with 70% free test and 700 ng/dl with 20% is VERY different

Not even counting E2 lol

Testosterone can help you reach your potential, and that can indirectly boost confidence through social feedback. But the key word is indirect confidence itself still comes from experience, mindset, and how you handle situations, not just hormone levels

there are studies linking testosterone to risk taking, but the effects are usually small and context dependent. Roid rage is more about supraphysiological doses, not normal ranges. And you’re right about bioavailability total test alone doesn’t tell the full story since free test and E2 balance matter a lot. Still, even with the same labs, personality differences remain huge because hormones are just one piece of the puzzle

high t might give more drive or energy, including reproductive motivation, but confidence and personality still depend on experience, mindset, and choices not hormones alone

That motivation probably translates into other things that may attract a mate, for example work for money or whatever; higher sex drives makes you want to do things that make you more likely to get pussy

Lol no, if the average man’s testosterone was the same levels as it was 50-100 years ago, there would be no incels as all incels would just rape women to lose their virginity. It’s simply impossible to lose as a male with high testosterone.

Lol, testosterone definitely changes your personality, you’re low iq if you believe otherwise, a high testosterone man will NEVER be submissive or agreeable, if that’s your personality, and you increase your testosterone, that personality will change, and it’s just common sense. Testosterone changes the way you behave, the way you think, the way you are. So it literally changes your personality.

that’s an oversimplification. Testosterone can influence things like energy, risk taking, or motivation, but core personality traits like agreeableness or introversion are shaped by genetics, upbringing, environment, and experience. Boosting T might change how you feel or act in certain situations, but it won’t completely rewrite who you are

That’s literally changing who you are bud, are you mentally disabled? You just mentioned personality and behavioral traits that change with high testosterone, so testosterone definitely changes your personality, but ofc it doesn’t completely change who you are as a person obviously, nobody said it will completely change or rewire you as a different person, you dumbass.

im not denying that testosterone can influence behavior or traits like confidence, risk taking, or energy. But when we talk about personality in psychology, it’s about consistent patterns across situations agreeableness, openness, introversion, etc. and those aren’t fully determined by hormones. Hormones can tweak behavior, but this has nothing to do with personality

It generally helps with motivation, dedication, work ethnic and even mild depression especially if you were actually low T.

Although in terms of confidence, the gain in confidence is probably due to the fact that it helps improve your life so you generally become more successful in fitness, work ect.

It’s not like alcohol where it will lower inhibition by much
