I love TX. Never had a bad meal. San Antonio is beautiful. With the Riverwalk, the Alamo and the missions. The TX Hill Country is lovely, with hills,, forests and rushing rivers. Big Bend National Park is great. A desert wonderland with a mighty river. as is Guadelupe Mountain National Park. Many of the towns in the Hill Country were settled by Germans and are quite interesting. San Angelo, on the hills overlooking the vast plains as the spread west, feels like one is on the edge of the world. El Paso has a nice feel. The South Eastern corner of TX is interesting . Subtropical and largely empty. With descendants of the original Spanish settlers still running ranches. The women here are absolutly beautiful. The Gulf Coast has fun towns and miles of sandy beaches and a warm ocean. Eastern TX is heavily wooded and swampy. More like Louisiana and Arkansas. On the Panhandle, in the Great Plains, is Palo Dura Canyon State Park. Where they filmed the scene in the 3rd Indiana Jones movie. Where the tank goes over the cliff. An amazing place. Austin is a Liberal shit hole. But, the TX museum is amazing and there is a great music scene. Out West again, the desert spreads. Fort Davis State Park in the Davis Mountains is cool. I'll admit I havent been to Dallas or Houston though.
Overall. I loved TX!
