Holy shit I went from having model tier skin to having dry ass skin and my forehead plagued with pimples in like a week, brutal what neglecting skincare + no sunlight does to a mf, never again :feelswhy:

i dont do any skincare at all or wash my face ever and my skin is shit. What did you do for your skin back when you had "model tier skin"?

Products:
Cleanser: La Roche-Posay Toleriane Dermo-Cleanser
Moisturizer: CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Sunscreen: La Roche-Posay Anthelios Shaka Ultra-Light SPF 50+
Vitamin C: The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2%
AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid): The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution
Madecassoside: A'PIEU Madecassoside Cica Gel 50ml

Routine:
Morning
  • Cleanse
  • Vitamin C
  • Red light therapy (RLT) for 30 minutes
  • Moisturize
  • Madecassoside
  • Sunscreen
Evening
  • 1st Cleanse
  • 2nd Cleanse
  • AHA
  • Red light therapy (RLT) for 30 minutes
  • Moisturize
Notes:
The reason I wait 30 minutes after applying vitamin C and AHA to continue my routine is because they have a low pH, so you need to give your skin some time to self-regulate its pH back to natural/normal levels, since you are not supposed to mix low and high pH products, to maximize my time I do red light therapy in the meantime.

AHAs like glycolic acid and lactic acid can increase photosensitivity, that's the main reason I don't use them in the morning, but it shouldn't really be a problem if you are using a good sunscreen, I just prefer to play it safe.

I have the same vitamin C cream from the ordinary and I get an awful stinging sensation. I put on hylauronic acid on a wet face prior and wait for it to dry then apply vitamin C. It kept stinging so I ditched it and now just apply hylauronic acid and niacinimide after double cleansing. Is this fine?

You should never skip your skincare routine right?

I sometimes skip it out of lazyness.
