In the name of 'saving the planet', how bad it is, how immoral it is, blah blah. =They= want to introduce a meat-tax in the netherlands that would make meat unaffordable to the average civilian, and essentially force people to eat less meat due to poverty. Who is they? The biggest political parties and the average citizens that vote for them.

I always tell vegans I am completely fine with them going 0-meat, but they shouldn't force their worldviews on me or other people. They refuse and want to enforce thier vegan worldviews upon me through government taxes, laws which are in the end enforced by a police force, and army, with a violence monopoly.

The leftist 'anti fascist' people, are essentially some of the most freedom limiting and fascist people themselves. Always enforcing their worldviews on others through violence.

Personally, I never much dug into the numbers of how bad eating meat is. Why?

I found it uninteresting compared to energy-production and consumption and I had some faith that the 'offical numbers' must have some truth to it, and it is indeed pretty bad. A LOT of popular media with millions of dollars behind them, would often report about how bad meat is for the environment. And huge international firms also agreed upon these 'facts'.

I was more busy with 'green' energy, nuclear energy, and energy savings. And I still find that far more interesting.

Turns out eating meat isn't that bad for the climate at all, if I am led to believe from this video channel which seems to make a lot of sense honestly.

What a clownworld we are living in. It has convinced me that politics, ethics, (global) activism, climate change activism, etc. is all a big fucking joke and nothing the average person should concern themselves with.

ALWAYS vote/stand in favor of people that keep taxes AS LOW AS POSSIBLE, and government intervention as low as possible.

You want to keep people out of your lives, and out of your wallets. And decide yourself what you think is important in life and on this planet.

Back in the communist era, here in Romania meat and other animal products were also pretty rare, most of the meat was exported and people were pretty much forced to adopt a largely vegan diet, many started to raise chickens and rabbits in their apartments - you could easily get meat and eggs this way at a very low cost, you could simply feed them wild herbs, fruits and seeds that you pick yourself...

How high are taxes in your country though? that 50k will have ~40% income tax onto it. So you are left with 30k.

A decent appartment here will cost you about 1-1.2k/month. A car (insurance, road taxes, expensive taxed gasoline) will cost you 500/month. Everything else here is expensive asf too.

On a good sales day i can buy chicken breast for 4€ the kilogram, it's normally around 7€ in Spain and in the same supermarket, a whole chicken is 2-3€.
Beef liver is around 7,5€ bought at the butcher, when you eat beef liver you pee bright yellow as if you had taken an overdose of multivitamins.
