I recently started watching that show Lucifer on Netflix and I was blown away by the blackpilled/personalitypilled nature of the show.
The main character is literally fucking Lucifer, the ultimate evil itself, and he's running a criminal empire where he kills and threatens people.
Yet despite this, his character is viewed by the other main character (female cop) as being merely 'ambiguous' or 'anti-hero' at worst. Most viewers of the show feel the same way.
So how is this possible?
Simple.
Because the form Lucifer takes on Earth is physically attractive, and therefore 'irresistible' (and by 'irresistible' he uses his mind powers to trick people into having sex with him).
Here we have a character that:
-Is a criminal
-Kills people for selfish reasons
-At one point uses his powers to briefly mindrape a child out of spite
-Is literally the Devil
And hilariously, the one time where the female cope has reservations about him is when she gets to see his actual real devil form (which naturally looks ugly).
Consider how fucked up this is...
IT WASN'T HIS REPULSIVE CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR AS THE DEVIL THAT GAVE THE FEMALE MAIN CHARACTER SECOND DOUBTS. IT WAS SEEING WHAT HE NORMALLY LOOKS LIKE WHILE IN HELL. IT WAS 100% PERFECTLY OKAY THAT SHE WAS DATING THE RULER OF ALL EVIL JUST INSOFAR AS HE LOOKED LIKE CHAD BUT ONCE HE TOOK ON HIS ACTUAL DEVIL FORM THEN SUDDENLY IT'S NOT SO COOL ANYMORE.
I've said this before and I'm saying it again: It is literally not possible to be seen as a true bad guy by most people if you are physically attractive. You will ALWAYS be seen as just an anti-hero. Or at worst, a 'respectable' villain. Nobody will ever hate an attractive villain. Especially not women.
