The way to test yourself, if you're addicted or not, is to say no, for several times in a row.
Or alcoholic test is to drink one and then stop.
If need more = addict.
Peer pressure can also lead to addiction.
If you continue to consume nicotine, better switch to vapes.
It's much easier to stop vaping than to quit smoking.
