Because 2/3 of overdose deaths are male. So that is a net decline in males of roughly 35,600, most of whom are in their 20s. I believe the demographic distribution is roughly 18% black and 82% white (including hispanic whites) , with few deaths among other races. The highest death rate is in the Rust belt, but the increase in recent years is broad based and expected to continue unabated for at least another year.Umm, why OldRooster?
