Nureyev may be half russian but he still fits the idea of what a CWC IndoEuropean would look like, if anything being half russian makes him a better choice to demonstrate the looks associated with those genetics, as tatars are more central asian looking.

Turks from central anatolia are closest to Azeri Turks. Kurds and pontic Greeks are in all cases further away.

they are not rare anywhere in the world besides scandinavia.
I'd say they're rare there due to being bred out from the population over the past couple millenia. We can speculate many different theories why brown eyes were bred out in that region, my guess for the reason is as good as urs

Oghuz where by far the most caucasoid looking in comparisson to other Turks. pre Manzikert. After manzikert the turks that settled in Azerbeycan and Anatolia became Caucasian looking, enough to lose most 'mongoloid' features.
