THE ABOVE-AVERAGE PILL (IF YOU ARE NOT FIRST, YOU ARE LAST)

This will be a thread I'm sure many can relate to.

When you are above-average looking, you obviously outperform average men when it comes to dating.

When you are of above-average intelligence, you outperform average and below-average people when it comes to cognitively reliant tasks (unless they happen to be a hyper-specialist in said task).

But you will NEVER be good enough to perform better than people who are 7/10 in anything when it comes to looks, brains, or height.

This is something that I have been struggling to grapple with for years.

It’s very interesting. Because I totally understand what you are saying here. I may be above average facially, height wise (6’1) with a tested iq of 124. I’ll never beat the cl who is 6’3 with an iq of 135. But remember that the lobbies you end up in are based on performance. And you’ll rarely end up in lobbies with people who greatly outperform you. Think about at work, people who are skilled due to brains or “charisma” will not be working next to you. So the best thing to do is be the big fish in the medium pond. Highschool and college are the only places where we are all compounded together and are exposed to people of greatly differing life qualities.
