Let's say a human has 80 years to live. The first 15 years he's a kid, then he has 10 years for being young (his prime), then if he's lucky he can stay young until 35 (some 40-45), but even then it's just 20 years out of 80 where he can be considered a young adult. The rest is either being a kid or fucking old.
This is brutal. Imagine if humans were designed to stay the same in looks in their 20s and 30s and only gradually started to decline in their 40s and 50s and got "old" with 60. At least half of your life would be looking like a young adult. But no, nature just wanted to give us humans 10-20 years. Literally one-tenth or one-quarter of all life.
