On present trends, the average Slovenian household will be better off than its British counterpart by 2024, and the average Polish family will move ahead before the end of the decade. A country in desperate need of migrant labour may soon have to ask new arrivals to take a pay cut.

plus it has a small population and high tourism rate so its not that hard for it to have a good economy given its location.

'With its excellent infrastructure, well-educated workforce, and strategic location between the Balkans and Western Europe, Slovenia has one of Central Europe's higher per capita GDPs.'

'As far as Slovenia is concerned, it was traditionally the most developed republic of the former Yugoslavia. This was made possible due to its geographical location on the border with Austria and Italy, diversified structure of the economy with a large proportion of final good production and well-educated labour force.”'

nvm about the tourism being important, its rate is not that good.

'by putting the tourist numbers in relation to the population of Slovenia, the result is much more comparable picture: With 0.58 tourists per resident, Slovenia ranked 59th in the world. In Southern Europe, it ranked 9th.Slovenia generated around 1.42 billion US Dollar in the tourism sector alone. This corresponds to 2.3 percent of its the gross domestic product and approximately 3 percent of all international tourism receipts in Southern Europe.'

even a cursory glance at this chart can easily reveal that it's insane
