Republicans and democrats in the 80’s: The money made from mass tax cuts and deregulation will trickle down everybody!
Them:
The democrats and republicans in the 90’s and early 2000’s: the money from unregulated neo-liberal free trade will trickle down to everybody!
Them:
Feminists during the beginning of sexual liberation: The benefits of a society that’s liberal around sex and relationships will benefit everybody! (Aka, trickle down)
Them now:
In the future
All political groups: The benefits of mass automation and AI will trickle down to everybody!
Them along with their corporate donors:
Feminists: The benefits of shaming inels and socially isolating them will benefit everybody! (Trickle down)
Them once it’s done:
The main point I’m trying to push here is, people gotta stop believing everything is gonna trickle down. It won’t. Most of the benefits will be held by one group and one group only, everybody else will get scraps or get nothing at all.
