The Big Problem in the Lookism Community
The problem: the glorification of the top 1% of people/faces. This may be a controversial take, but I do believe it to be true - too many people in the space, whether on Tiktok or Forums, praise/celebrate Chads and Stacys when it goes against the whole principle of lookism.
Lookism’s foundation
Lookism was created out of hatred for the top % of Men and Women, to celebrate the average/below average, and to not give the best looking individuals more power then they already have. However, people in the community do the opposite.
TikTok and Forums
As everyone here knows, edits of the most attractive people are the most popular form of content from the Lookism space, with creators gaining up to millions of likes, such as pursingparadise. These videos belittle the unattractive and put the attractive even higher in society. WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO DO THAT?
Forums are not as different as you would think, especially in 2026 - forums have been overrun by teenagers that worship the attractive. Your Avi? An attractive foid or a Chad. Your threads? “Muh this Chad mogs this Chad, Muh this Stacy fogs this Stacy”.
Sure, these forums are for “Looksmaxxing” aswell, but we should be striving to become attractive while also fighting for those who will never be - how many users across all forums are actually actively improving their appearance drastically? Not many.
The consequence
The consequence of this is making the divide between the attractive and unattractive even greater - the people on the bottom become even more insecure and prone to roping, while the attractive are seen as greater then they are. This causes Mtbs to Stacys, who will ALWAYS see themselves as more attractive then they are, to go for even more attractive men due to society placing them at higher level then they ever were. Chads, in todays age, are deemed as Gods, more so then any other time in history due to social media.
So try and think about this before you like that Tikok of the disabled subhuman getting ‘mogged’ by a Chad.
