There was a good study done on Rhesuses monkeys where the monkeys basically are isolated for 6 months to a year.

For the first week in isolation the Monekys desperately try to escape everyday but after a month they give up entirely. Then after a few months even when re-entered into the general monkey population they refuse to socialize at all. When female monkeys were inseminated and had children they would kill them or neglect/not feed them.

I wonder how similar this is for humans.

The only ones that seem to turn out decent are ones with a hard life. So if the mother is very hard on them or they are poor they are forced to struggle.

Worst case is they nurture you too much but there is no masculine element to balance it out. But all these men will end up fucked up. You get the thug types who over compensate and exhibit masculinity from crime and violence around them or you get the soy boy cucks.

yes thats an interesting read but I think that this is stuff that is really out of your control. You cant control whether or not you was neglected as a child. and most social, language and emotional development happens as a kid and you cannot control who your parents are.

but as an adult you can choose to not socialize I think even reading looksmax.org or watching sitcom shows can be the equivalent. And humans are far more complex beings than monkeys, and therefore you cannot really say much about the effects it has on humans but it is known that isolation without any form of socializing is bad for humans. And its still possible to socialize on the internet like you can talk to friends online so I dont think being a hermit or basement dweller has any negative effects on the brain.

I mean especially people with high functioning autism, they prefer to socialize with other autistic people because when autistic people talk to normal people they have to pretend to "fit in" and that can cause autistic overload so when autistic people talk to other autistic people they dont need to do masking. Its not that autistic people are anti-social but it is that taking to neurotypicals takes a lot of mental strain to them because their brain just isnt built for that type of social communication

yes it is, at least humans have a greater understanding and ability to be self aware than other animals so even if you lack socialization you can still learn how to socialize by watching movies, you know because movies have dialogue in them and you can learn from that dialogue how to communicate effectively and understand emotions like empathy in real life
