You can't force friendships with people. People just drift along and maybe hang with you for a little bit but don't integrate you into their social circle cause they are frugal with their social resources. Most of these "friendships" just end up being acquaintances and nothing of value comes from it. Having a big social circle is good but not everyone will get one or even benefit from one the same way.
