if you are confident about a topic, then most people will assume youre competent in a topic. ie why would you be confident if you werent sure? although this simple psychological tactic seems obvious in retrospect, the truth is the vast majority of people fail to employ such a strategy, especially for job interviews, and their professional life in general. on the flip side you could be the most competent person in the world on a subject but if you seem apathetic and not confident most people wont take you seriously.

employ this tactic in your life and see how you change for the better. remember, bull shit works, and most people fall for it. however know your audence. HR professionals are stupid, your c suite isnt. just act confident in your body language and words and see how people take you seriously
