This is some bullshit.
Cutting is not meant to be sustainable. I think getting lean as fast as possible, then slowly building back up to maintence or lean bulk is more optimal.
Calories are cope for keeping ur muscle. It’s all about hard training stimulus and protein.
For example my maintence is 2.8 k and I eat 1.5k calories with high protein when cutting
Stop doing a 500 deficit like a bitch just to restrict urself for longer than needed
