This isn't talked about on the forum enough probably because most people here live in first world countries with great healthcare but getting diseases and having your entire life fucked because of them is a real concern in shithole countries.

I call them diseasecel. I've been fortunate enough to be born in a middle class household with good finances and have access to good healthcare but people around me haven't been so fortunate. One example I can think of is my senior from my previous school. He is in his mid 20s. He is MTN but very NT always saw him smiling, happy. He was hard working and graduated from a decent uni a few years back. Also dated multiple GL girls but once he started working things went south.

He had no history of illness but he started developing kidney issues due to undiagnosed hypertension. The result is he needs dialysis 2-3 times a week. Each session costs thousands. Insurance doesn't cover all of it and government hospitals are overburdened so he is forced to seek private healthcare which is expensive so his family had to mortage property for survival. Career, studies, and social life are all destroyed. He is barely alive at this point just merely existing for the sake of his parents.

Diseasecel is brutal :blackpill:

I had a diseasecel period of my life actually, had bowel obstructions. And I was in so much pain that I could feel it even through multiple shots of fentanyl. And it made me think about people in the third world that get them, which is very common, but they didn’t have the treatment I got, just brutal.

No it wouldn’t have because it was a soft tissue problem, not a digestive one. My colon was too long for my abdomen, which I was born with, and a section of it had to be surgically removed and resected. I never had diverticulitis or anything like that.

Good thread, this is rarely talked about but it's one of the reasons why 3rd worlders are so desperate to get into the 1st world. Especially places like Europe/UK with free healthcare. The problem is that most people in the 3rd world aren't educated about nutrition and how the body works.
